This photo is of a bridge in Gurugram DLF Phase 3 near GuruDronacharya Metro Station (Yellow line) π. Yes it's the same location but a different photograph so writing a separate blog on it. My search for new locations for photoshoot keep going on , whatever my eyes sees i feel like capturing it and this is what i do most of the time. But some locations came out to be more photogenic and some not, So what we can do is experiment and keep exploring to find the best places. From previous two three photoshoots I'm just going out and heading where ever my foots takes me. I think its a good way to explore some hidden places you may have unnoticed before or you had not yet being to those places but there also a challenge rises which is time , this way of exploring is more time consuming. As you have to spend time in searching the best place for pictures and you have to stop and experiment on your each new possible photoshoot location. Otherwise if you plan your photoshoot beforehand it's less time taking and much recommended , because you can't daily give hours for searching new locations. And if you are willing to do photoshoots regularly you have to be time efficient. So that you don't return home with disappointing pictures or zero insta worthy pictures.
Apart from the previous picture I choosed a different angle, so that to capture the sun as i wanted to try some underexposed picture. Placing camera directly towards sun makes the picture dark because of the sensitivity of camera lens and ultraviolet rays of sun. As it is the same location the editing process would also be similar but with a few change. So let's look the editing breakdown
Editing Breakdown
1. Adobe Lightroom (Available on play store and Appstore ) :
As usual First of all i did light correction. As the original picture was a bit darker, I increased its brightness and shadows by a very small number because the tone of picture is underexposed. Reduced highlights by -49 , Increased shadows by +22 , decreased whites by -17 and blacks by -37 Then comes Colour. I changed the tint to +27, vibrance -40, Then I did Color grading by using colour mix tool, changed the red colour's hue to -73 , aplha colour's hue -90 and saturation -89 , then blue colour's hue -65 and saturation -65. Then in colour grading shadows' hue 54 and saturation 32 and highlights' hue 85 and saturation 15. Then i increased vignette but by a small number in the picture increased its feather and roundness too, so to make the borders darker and with a smooth transition. Then i took a radial gradient and put it over the sun and reduced it dehaze so that the source of light becomes softer at the bridge's edge. Increased a bit of clarity and texture too.
Tip - While saving the image don't use save to device option and either use "Export as" and set it to largest available dimensions for better quality and then export it as a preset, so in future if you want to know what you had edited in a photograph , you can simply check it by adding picture to the lightroom afterwards.
2. Snapseed (Available on play store and Appstore ) :
Then we came to blurring background but similar to previous post this was also not looking good , so I choosed a low value for it. Using Lens blur tool - changing its vignette and transition to zero and blur strength to a of 5. Then using brush i reduced the blur effect in descending order to make it look more real. Then I did skin smoothning using lens blur option Changing its vignette and transition to null and blur strength of around 5-6 and then going to view edits > lens blur> brush and painted it on my face except eyes, nose, eyebrows , mouth ,etc so it don't blur the whole face π and just soften the skin
Tip: For better output quality click 3 dots , go to settings , look for format and quality and choose the value 100%
