This picture was clicked at my home and like always this is also a self shot picture, this one is a indoor picture that's why I am telling it again. It's a picture from my birthday that's why I am having cake on my face. I wanted to make birthday reels, some funny kind and got some ideas my scrolling the reels section, some by my own and finally I made 3 reels for my birthday which i had posted on my Instagram if you want to see them Click here. And also tell in the comments section if you want more of this kind videos (lypsync , transition , etc.) or the travel videos (which I am posting nowadays) or whatever you wanted me to do just feel free to suggest.
So I had made a small and very basic setup at my home, which I initially made for making reels but i couldn't manage to make more of those kind reels due to being busy in editing travel reels and other works , But by this time I'm near to end my travel videos and I will be focussing on lypsync videos + transitions and anything which would be possible for me to make , meanwhile I used the setup for my personal photoshoot at home. So you want to know actually what is my setup? Here we go. First of all i have a small and basic tripod which i had purchased around 2-3 years ago and then i bought a ring light a 14 inch one and I purchased it this year only, which works for me (as of now) but with the growing time and my skills and followers I will be upgrading my ring light may be after some years . And for the background I am using a black backdrop purchased via Flipkart and I had hanged it in a curtain rode cause the backdrop stands are too expensive even more than backdrops , so I don't think its a good decision to buy the stand till you are not very rich , either you can spend money in other things or on yourself. If you don't have a curtain rod then you can simply just hang something like a rope and put the backdrop on it. And you even don't need to buy backdrop if you have any plain black curtain at home or of any colour suitable to you , you can use it as your background. So that's all about my setup let's look into the editing breakdown now
Editing Breakdown
1. Adobe Lightroom (Available on play store and Appstore ) :
As i do always, First of all i did light correction. As the original picture was over exposed , I decreased its brightness and shadows and made a slight S in curve tool for correcting the light. Then I Reduced highlights by -44 , Increased shadows by +12 , decreased brightness by -4 , increased contrast by +13 .Then because photo didn't had much colours cause its a indoor image so colour grading was not much needed and i avoided it for that reason.
Tip - While saving the image don't use save to device option and either use "Export as" and set it to largest available dimensions for better quality and then export it as a preset, so in future if you want to know what you had edited in a photograph , you can simply check it by adding picture to the lightroom afterwards.
2. Snapseed (Available on play store and Appstore ) :
Then I imported the photo in Snapseed and increased ambiance by +17 , increased saturation by 24 as there was very less colours in the picture and then I got my eyes on the wrinkles of shirt and using dodge and burn , I brushed the darker parts of wrinkles with -0.5 burn so that the picture gets more detail and contrast & overall a nice image
Tip: For better output quality click 3 dots , go to settings , look for format and quality and choose the value 100%
